Right to Life Kern County is bringing Equal Rights Institute’s training seminar to Bakersfield! Josh and Tim Brahm and Jacob Nels will teach and mentor you personally to make sure you get the most out of the day. This seminar is designed to train you to have productive conversations with pro-choice people, using the arguments and dialogue skills that will be most likely to change their mind.

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for this event to finally happen.
I’ve been talking about my friendship with Deanna, an atheist lesbian who up until recently was a pro-choice blogger, for over a year. After 21 months of friendship that has impacted us both, we are finally going to meet for the first time!
We will be speaking together at the University of Portland about what made our friendship work as well as practical tips for cultivating friendships with people from different political and cultural backgrounds. The event will be followed by a Q&A session.
We plan to do this event at many universities, but there will be something special about the first one. If you’re in the Portland area, I hope you can come. The event is free and open to the public. Seating will be first come first serve.
I’m planning on publishing the audio from the event in the future.

I’m looking forward to sharing the vision of Equal Rights Institute at the Fresno County & City Republican Women Luncheon, as well as why I think pro-life advocates should cultivate friendships with pro-choice people.
