Deanna event Portland 640

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for this event to finally happen.

I’ve been talking about my friendship with Deanna, an atheist lesbian who up until recently was a pro-choice blogger, for over a year. After 21 months of friendship that has impacted us both, we are finally going to meet for the first time!

We will be speaking together at the University of Portland about what made our friendship work as well as practical tips for cultivating friendships with people from different political and cultural backgrounds. The event will be followed by a Q&A session.

We plan to do this event at many universities, but there will be something special about the first one. If you’re in the Portland area, I hope you can come. The event is free and open to the public. Seating will be first come first serve.

I’m planning on publishing the audio from the event in the future.
